Royal Crown Derby Anniversary Robin. Please contact me via my listing if there's anything you'd like to discuss. Its eyes slightly hooded, perhaps whilst facing the wind. The lower breast feathers appear slightly rumpled as though blown by the wind. Royal blue head and back, luxurious dark red breast leading down a shade of orange before entering a very light blue band superimposed with dark blue and gold feathering. Its eyes tail off into delightful V's of orange and light blue/grey. The Robin is delightfully decorated with numerously different shaped feathers, all serving a different purpose. The robin is to found over most of the world. Often called the "gardeners friend" for its close-up approach to humans or large digging animals as it searches for world or other small unearthed creatures. The robin is omnivorous and will nest practically anywhere that offers a little shelter. Issued exclusively in 2009 for the 25th Anniversary of the Royal Crown Derby Collectors Guild. Liberally adorned with 22-carat gold gilding.
