Wn Derby 1st Quality Boxed Paperweight'Bearded Tit. The delightful, Royal Crown Derby, Paperweight'Bearded Tit', some 132mm in length, would make a wonderful addition to any collection. This paperweight is first quality with the modern Grey Royal Crown Derby backstamp, a gold stopper with an issue date of 2014. This paperweight was recently removed from the Royal Crown Derby General Range.

Latin name: Panurus Biarmicus, the Bearded Tit is a small unique song bird with its "ping" calls often being the first clue to their presence. This fabulous paperweight has been decorated in grey and warm harvest colours which contrast with the black facial markings. It has the Painter/Modeller's marks on the base and is in excellent undamaged condition, with no chips, cracks, scratches, or restoration.

The item comes from a private collection, previously un-displayed, not taken out of the box except to be photographed. You can see from the photographs that opening the box has creased, etc. Please note the light marks on the photographs are camera/light reflections and not any sign of damage.
